Beliefs differed between headhunting tribes. Some believed the spirit was contained in the skull and the orifices were sealed. Much in like to the shrunken head. Yet others believe the spirit is the skull itself, so possession of the skull was the ideal. This original warrior trophy skull is hand cast, and detailed using genuine animal bones with tribal markings and a antiqued patina.
